Recently, WL Chivers Plumbing was contacted by a young family who had just purchased their forever home, a classic Edwardian building in Camberwell. While the house was a beautiful find, they soon discovered that lurking beneath its charm were major drainage issues.
Upon moving in, the owners noticed dampness and flooding outside during heavy rain. They managed the reconstruction of footpath infrastructure and implemented a new sewer-grade PVC drainage system that ran under delicate garden beds and pathways. After a meticulous three-day operation, Chivers successfully delivered a beautifully finished product. The result was an efficiently flowing stormwater discharge system from the property, with minimal damage to the surroundings. This achievement has eliminated issues like water pooling and dampness around the foundation, significantly reducing the risk of future flooding.
